Subject: SIO2PC -- file 1 -- S2PCACOM
To: Info-Atari8@naucse.cse.nau.edu
All files are UUENCODED on the Unix and then ARCED on the 8-bit, so use
uudecode <source> destination to turn 'em into binaries, then d/l them.
[The already-decoded binaries live in the atari archive; just download
them and go. -- jrd]
SIO2PC is now PD. This software/hardware combination allows owners of
Atari 8-bits and IBM's to use their PC (or clone) as a file server to the
8-bit. You build a cable and run a program on the PC end; the PC's storage
is accessed just like it was an Atari disk drive.
Files are as follows:
S2PCACOM.ARC -- .COM files for the Atari end of the connection.
S2PCDESC.ARC -- Contains a text description of the SIO2PC system.
S2PCBULD.ARC -- Explains how to build the cable.
S2PCIBM.??? -- This is an executable PC program, I think. Download it
using your PC. May be lzh'ed or something.
[This is a ARC file -- jrd]
S2PCDOCS.ARC -- Complete documentation for SIO2PC.
